Receptionist / Office Assistant

High Tide Inc. is currently looking to add a highly organized and proactive Receptionist while also handling general office assistant responsibilities. This dual role requires a versatile individual capable of managing diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment. Receptionist/Office Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the COO and ensuring smooth operations within the office. This role demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Office Assistant Duties:

  • Greet visitors and manage incoming calls, emails, and mail, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory by checking stock and placing orders as necessary.
  • Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
  • Assist in organizing company events, meetings, and conferences.
  • Ensure the office is clean, organized, and well-maintained, liaising with building management for any maintenance needs.
  • Provide general support to team members as needed.
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the COO, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents.
  • Conduct research, compile data, and prepare reports as requested by the COO.
  • Act as a liaison between the COO and other departments, ensuring timely communication and follow-up.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in supporting C-level executives.
  • Proven experience as an Receptionist, Office Assistant, or similar administrative role.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with office management procedures and equipment.
  • High degree of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of the cannabis industry practices and operations is an asset.
