Reporting to the Creative Director, the Graphic Designer will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional in-house graphic services to the sales, marketing, and purchasing departments. Your responsibilities will span print and web design, encompassing product, packaging, signage, email, and website design.
Without restricting the generality of the above-stated basic functions, this position shall perform such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned including but not restricted to the following:
Responsibilities:
Email Marketing and Web
- Create visually stunning email layouts that boost engagement, click-through rates, and sales growth when possible
- Assist in expanding the company's brand identity
- Conduct research on the latest design technologies and trends, and integrate them as needed
- Develop email design templates, manipulate photo files, and design digital animations
- Design multiple emails per week, ensuring timely and high-quality deployment
Exterior and Interior Store Design
- Expertly design interior and exterior walls, windows, posters, and signage
- Create eye-catching POP displays, such as counter and shelf displays, sidekicks, and side-stacks
- Design impressive signage, including banners, easels, aisle talkers, and wobblers
- Produce engaging animations and graphics for TV screens
- Ensure all design deliverables align with branding guidelines
Retail Packaging
- Generate innovative packaging concepts from competitor analysis, internal research, creative briefs, and manager directives.
- Produce dielines for various packaging types, including boxes, wrappers, labels, stickers, and hangtags.
- Ensure compliance with customer style-guides and prepare necessary approval documents.
- Develop packaging dielines according to customer requirements and design specifications.
Product Design, Photography and Illustration
- Design and format product instructions, catalogs, and brochures
- Produce necessary technical and classical illustrations
- Capture lifestyle photography as required
Organization
- Collaborate effectively with fellow designers to achieve accurate and efficient work
- Demonstrate superior multitasking abilities by managing multiple projects with strict adherence to deadlines and exceptional attention to detail
- Exhibit excellent organizational skills by meticulously maintaining and properly labeling files on the art server
Production
- Produce final files: outline, color swatch, and specification sheets
- Thoroughly review final production for errors: file accuracy, color correctness, and dieline precision
Academic/Educational Requirements:
- 3-4 Year Bachelor or Diploma in Graphic Design
Required Skills/Experience:
- The candidate must have 2-5 years of graphic design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in print, multimedia, and animation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and working on a MAC environment is essential.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, experience using Klaviyo for email design, Shopify and Wordpress for web design, and basic tagging and programming is required.
- The candidate should possess exceptional multitasking and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written English skills are necessary to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
- The candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
