We're looking for a Senior Social Media Strategist to join our dynamic team and drive the growth and success of our social media presence. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead strategy, analyze performance data, and drive continuous improvements across multiple social accounts, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve while engaging audiences and growing our brands.

Position Summary:
As our Senior Social Media Strategist, you will be the mastermind behind our social media strategy, responsible for leading campaign execution, driving engagement, and analyzing metrics to improve performance. You’ll collaborate closely with creative teams, influencers, and key stakeholders to ensure our content resonates and delivers results. From User-Generated Content (UGC) to video content and influencer marketing, you’ll manage it all, ensuring that everything we do is data-driven, strategic, and aligned with our goals. Your role is critical to ensuring that High Tide’s brands continue to grow and shine across the digital space.

Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Execution:

  • Lead and develop data-driven social media strategies across multiple brands to boost engagement, growth, and brand awareness.
  • Drive continuous improvements by tracking and analyzing performance data, making recommendations for optimizing future campaigns.
  • Collaborate with creative teams by providing clear briefs to develop engaging content that aligns with brand goals, campaign objectives, and audience needs.
  • Provide clear content direction through detailed briefs, ensuring all social content is high-quality and aligns with overall strategy.
  • Oversee the social media content calendar, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment across platforms.
  • Ensure effective communication with senior leadership, keeping them updated on social media strategies and performance insights.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, ensuring alignment with best practices and campaign goals.
  • Lead video content strategy for social media platforms and other marketing channels such as programmatic ads while driving measurable results.
  • Prioritize data analysis to drive continuous improvements in social media performance.
  • Provide regular reports on social media KPIs, analyzing key metrics to inform future strategies.
  • Use data insights to recommend strategic changes, ensuring High Tide’s social media presence stays ahead of the competition.

User-Generated Content (UGC) Management:

  • Manage the end-to-end UGC process, including briefing content creators and tracking performance to ensure alignment with brand messaging and metrics.
  • Maintain clear communication with content creators, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met.

Influencer & Campaign Management:

  • Lead influencer marketing strategies to expand brand reach and engagement, tracking success through performance metrics like ROI and engagement rates.
  • Work with influencers to create high-quality content that aligns with campaign objectives and brand messaging.
  • Track and report on the performance of influencer campaigns, adjusting strategies based on data insights.

Process & Project Management:

  • Oversee and streamline content creation processes, from ideation to final approval, ensuring efficiency and strategic alignment.
  • Identify and execute improvements in social media strategies, based on performance data and feedback.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of social media-related tasks aligned with broader marketing objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 4 - 5 years of experience in leading social media strategies, with a proven track record of driving engagement, analyzing data, and optimizing performance.
  • Experience working in an agency environment - a plus!
  • Expertise in developing and managing User-Generated Content (UGC) strategies and creating clear, actionable briefs for content creators.
  • Strong experience in video content creation for social media and programmatic ads.
  • Proficiency with social media analytics tools and project management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and distill key insights that inform decisions for internal teams.
  • Proven experience in mentoring and guiding teams, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • A campaign-first mentality, with a focus on developing overarching strategies rather than just individual ads or content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a history of coordinating effectively with content teams and mentoring junior staff.
  • Experience in influencer marketing and content creation tailored for social media platforms.
  • A passion for the cannabis industry is a bonus.
