High Tide Inc., the fast paced, growing, and extraordinarily successful cannabis retail is seeking a Retail Visual Merchandiser professional who will be responsible for providing support to our stores in the Calgary area.

As a Retail Visual Merchandiser, you will work closely with our retail operations. Reporting to Director, Retail Operations the Retail Visual Merchandiser plays a key role in shaping Canna Cabana’s cannabis strategy in our stores. In partnership with senior management, the Retail Visual Merchandiser will be responsible for developing and activating in-store marketing and merchandising plans that are creative, eye-catching, and engaging to our customers and capture their imagination, passion, and loyalty to our target cannabis customer.

A day in the life:

• Creating planograms and store communications for in-store marketing shelf setups.
• Auditing our retail network of stores and ensuring merchandising, signage and implementation of ongoing campaigns are standardized.
• Creating activation summaries for all in-store marketing campaigns.
• Completing regular store tours and providing feedback forms for each visit.
• Supporting on store flips when necessary.
• Working with district/area managers to achieve merchandising compliance across stores.
• Providing direction, floorplans, and merchandising guides for new store openings.
• Support Retail Operations and Marketing on ordering merchandising and marketing assets.
• Completing asset allocation and distribution for all NSO’s.
• Supporting existing stores with asset allocation and inventory management of merchandising assets.
• Working with category management to ensure merchandising opportunities are identified, addressed and complete.
• Working with the warehouse to support distribution of allocated assets.
• Taking initiative in identifying merchandising gaps/improvements.
• Ordering signage/assets via our internal design department, as required for our new and existing stores.
• Collaborate with Licensed Producers on testing, development, and implementation of brand specific merchandising materials

You will be great for this role if you have:

• Minimum 2 years of Merchandising experience required.
• You take pride in collaborating with our Marketing team and coordinate new promotional materials, staging, uploading photos, and administrative coordination.
• Required experience creating planograms and communication material for retail stores.
• Attention to detail and are highly organized and like ensuring communications to stores are clear, accurate, and easy to follow.
• Knowledge of cannabis and accessories is preferred.
• An eye for creativity.
• Willingness to learn and eager to implement innovative ideas.
• Intermediate – Advanced skill set in MS Suite of Products.
• Adobe InDesign skills preferred.
• Excellent communication skills; friendly, outgoing, enjoy collaborating with all stores and departments.
• Current Driver’s License - A reliable vehicle for visiting the Calgary stores daily.
